Our Promise to You
At Vayan Handpans, we believe that exceptional craftsmanship deserves lasting support. Every instrument is created to inspire musical expression, and we are committed to helping preserve its sound quality.
Vayan Handpans Inc. provides a 2-Year Limited Tuning Warranty on its branded handpan instruments.
1. Warranty Coverage
This warranty applies to Vayan-branded handpans purchased directly from Vayan Handpans Inc.
Coverage begins on the date the instrument is delivered and continues for 24 months.
The warranty covers tuning instability or loss of tuning caused by defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use.
When a qualifying issue is confirmed, Vayan will arrange professional retuning at no charge to the customer.
2. Professional Retuning Services
Vayan may arrange warranty service through an approved local handpan tuning specialist or another qualified repair facility.
If an approved warranty service requires shipping, Vayan will cover the authorized transportation costs to and from the designated service provider.
Customers must obtain approval and shipping instructions before sending an instrument for service.
3. What Is Not Covered
This limited tuning warranty does not cover issues caused by:
- Accidental drops, dents, or impacts
- Excessive striking or improper playing techniques
- Improper storage or exposure to damaging environmental conditions
- Rust, corrosion, or moisture-related damage caused by improper care
- Unauthorized tuning or modifications that cause the claimed problem
- Cosmetic changes, including natural patina development or finish variations
- Normal cosmetic wear unrelated to a covered tuning defect
An unrelated cosmetic issue or previous third-party service does not automatically void the entire warranty.
4. How to Request Warranty Service
To initiate a warranty claim, email info@vayanhandpans.com with:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- The instrument model and musical scale
- A description of the tuning issue
- A video or audio recording demonstrating the concern, if reasonably available
Our team will review the information and provide the next steps.
If physical inspection is required, Vayan will coordinate the inspection or provide authorized shipping instructions.
5. Repairs and Service Timeframes
The time required for retuning depends on the nature of the issue, the availability of qualified specialists, and shipping arrangements.
We will communicate an estimated service timeframe after assessing the instrument and identifying an appropriate repair provider.
6. Instruments That Cannot Be Retuned
If an instrument has a confirmed covered tuning defect that cannot reasonably be corrected through professional retuning, Vayan will provide a replacement instrument of the same model or a reasonably equivalent model at no additional cost.
If an appropriate replacement cannot be provided, Vayan will offer a refund of the original instrument purchase price.
These remedies do not limit any additional rights required by applicable law.
7. Warranty Service Costs
For approved claims, Vayan covers professional retuning and authorized shipping costs necessary to complete the covered service.
Customers should not arrange independent paid repairs or shipments expecting reimbursement without prior authorization, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
8. Statutory Consumer Rights
This limited warranty is a voluntary commitment from Vayan Handpans Inc.
It is separate from and additional to any consumer rights provided by applicable federal, state, or international law.
Customers may have legal rights relating to defective products, merchantability, product conformity, repair, replacement, or refunds that cannot be excluded or restricted by this warranty.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state or by country.
